Lot 777: An early 20th-century Arts and Crafts style oak armchair
An early 20th-century armchair constructed from dark-stained oak, exhibiting design influences of the Arts and Crafts movement. The frame features broad, flat rectangular armrests and a curved backrest. The seat and back are upholstered in a green-toned fabric featuring a repeating scrolled wave pattern, secured to the frame with a border of decorative brass-headed upholstery tacks. A small white adhesive label printed with the letters LLL is present on the upper right arm.
Condition report:
The chair is in fair to good vintage condition. There is visible scuffing, surface scratches, and wear to the dark-stained finish, particularly on the leading edges of the armrests and the legs. The upholstery is intact with no significant tears, though it shows light wear and compression to the internal padding, particularly on the backrest. The frame appears structurally sound based on visual inspection.
