Lot 787: A Trio of Decorative Tableware Comprising a Ceramic Serving Bowl and a Pair of Glass Dishes
This lot consists of three pieces of decorative tableware. The first item is a large, oval-shaped serving bowl crafted from glazed earthenware or stoneware, featuring a cream-coloured ground with fine dark speckling throughout. The bowl is decorated with polychrome transfer-printed floral sprays in shades of pink, teal, ochre, and green, and is finished with a gilded line to the scalloped rim. The remaining two items are a pair of small, circular clear glass dishes with undulating or wavy rims. Each glass dish is decorated with a central floral motif depicting yellow flowers with red centres and smaller purple blossoms amongst green foliage, complemented by a gilded rim. No maker marks, factory stamps, or signatures are visible on any of the pieces.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in good overall condition. The ceramic bowl shows minor dark inclusions within the glaze, which are characteristic of this type of speckled ware and occur during the manufacturing process. No chips, cracks, or significant repairs are visible to the ceramic or glass components from the provided perspectives. There is minor shelf wear to the underside of the bases.
