Lot 844: A late 20th century rustic pine bedside table
A rustic pine side or bedside table of simple construction, designed in the Shaker style. The solid pine square top sits above a single frieze drawer, which is fitted with a turned wooden knob. Below the drawer is an open under-tier shelf, and the piece is raised on four square-section legs. No maker marks or symbols are visible on the exterior or the interior of the drawer. The top surface bears a small white rectangular sticker and an auction tag marked with the numerals 844.
Condition report:
The item is in well-used condition. There is significant surface wear throughout, including multiple scratches, scuffs, and watermarks to the top surface and legs. There is a notable amount of white residue, possibly paint or old wax, around the base of the drawer knob. The drawer functions but shows internal wear. Suitable for restoration or for use in its current distressed state.
