Lot 959: A traditional blue painted wooden plate rack
A traditional country style wooden plate rack, commonly the top section of a kitchen dresser. The unit is of wooden construction with a dark blue matte painted finish. It features an open-fronted design with three fixed-height shelves, each incorporating a longitudinal groove for the upright display of plates or chargers. The rack is finished with a moulded cornice at the top and decorative scalloped side profiles. This is a single-section unit intended for wall mounting or for positioning on a dresser base or sideboard.
