Lot 960: A Trio of Artworks including Brent Heighton and Yann Arthus-Bertrand
The first work is a contemporary composition on canvas by Brent Heighton (Canadian, b. 1954), depicting a nostalgic street scene with a couple under a red umbrella walking towards a Metropolitan Station entrance. The work features loose, expressive brushwork and a textured surface, signed Brent Heighton in the lower right corner. The piece uses a muted colour palette with the red umbrella as a focal point. The canvas is gallery-wrapped and presented unframed. The second item is a framed photographic print by Yann Arthus-Bertrand (French, b. 1946) titled Foule à Abengourou, Côte-d’Ivoire, from the Earth from Above series. The artist’s name and series title are printed in the lower right margin. The photograph is housed behind glass in a wide wooden frame. The third item is a contemporary decorative print of a Mediterranean-style patio scene with wicker furniture and blue shutters, presented in a light wood frame with a white mount under glass. No signature is visible on this piece.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in good overall condition. The Heighton canvas shows no visible craquelure or paint loss. The glazed works exhibit some light surface dust and reflections on the glass. The frames show minor signs of handling.
