Lot 981: Three Miscellaneous Decorative Articles
A group of three decorative articles comprising a turned wood pedestal stand, a cobalt blue glass shade, and a floral decorated container. The pedestal stand is of turned wood construction with a circular top and base. The glass shade is fashioned in a deep cobalt blue with vertical ribbing and a central aperture, in the style of a Holophane lamp fitting. The container, possibly a wastepaper bin, features a four-lobed scalloped rim and is finished in red with a printed floral rose design. No manufacturer’s marks are discernible; the items bear various numerical auction lot labels.
Condition report:
The pedestal stand displays surface marks and age-related wear. The glass shade shows minor surface wear and accumulated dust. The floral container shows heavy distress with significant paint loss, particularly to the white-trimmed edges and the interior.
