Lot 982: An Assortment of Vintage Art Glass, Horological Items, and Decorative Objects including a Smiths Sectric Mantel Clock
This collection comprises an assortment of 20th-century decorative items, horological pieces, and art glass. The lot includes a Smiths Sectric electric mantel clock featuring a curved wooden case and an off-white dial with raised gilt-style Arabic numerals, marked Smiths Sectric and Made in Great Britain. Also included is a large circular vintage wall clock dial signed Jones and Co. London with Roman numerals. The art glass selection features a heavy cased glass bowl with a deep amethyst centre and clear scalloped rim, a turquoise crackle glass vase, and a clear glass bowl with a teal-blue bubble pattern concentrated in the base. Further glassware includes a pair of cylindrical clear glass vases with ruby red geometric internal facets, an amethyst glass dish with internal swirled line decorations, and a blown glass perfume atomizer with a black and white swirled pattern and fabric-covered bulb. The lot also contains three large lobed glass shades or decorative objects in ruby red, amber, and seeded clear glass, each with metal fittings at the neck. Additional items include a hammered copper-toned metal charger, two ceramic plates with green palm leaf motifs, boxed floral pin dishes, amethyst-coloured tumblers, a carved wooden tool, and a small Kodak battery unit.
