A mid-20th century armchair, often referred to as a cocktail chair, dating to circa 1950s-1960s. The design features a curved, wrap-around backrest that flows into integrated low armrests. The piece is fully upholstered in a dusty rose pink velvet-textured fabric with piped seams along the edges. It is supported by four splayed and tapered wooden legs with a dark-stained finish. A small white rectangular tag bearing the printed digits 988 is affixed to the upper left backrest, serving as an internal inventory mark. No manufacturer marks or factory labels are present on the visible surfaces.
Condition report:
The chair is in poor condition and requires professional restoration. The upholstery exhibits significant wear throughout, including heavy staining and matting to the velvet on the seat, armrests, and backrest. A small puncture is visible on the front right edge of the seat cushion. The wooden legs show surface scuffing and marks consistent with age and use.
