Lot 1031: A contemporary mid-century modern style L-shaped sectional corner sofa in teal velvet upholstery
A contemporary L-shaped sectional corner sofa featuring an integrated chaise longue, designed with mid-century modern influences. The piece is upholstered in a teal-coloured plush velvet fabric and features a fixed, diamond button-tufted backrest with integrated, non-removable seat cushions. The frame is supported by tapered cylindrical feet crafted from a light-coloured wood, such as beech or oak. The design resembles the Modway Empress or Joybird Eliot series of sectional seating. The sofa is accompanied by an assortment of five decorative throw cushions, including one green faux-fur cushion, one grey textured cushion, and three patterned floral and striped cushions. No manufacturer marks are present on the sofa frame; however, a small black brand tag for ESTAS is visible on one of the decorative cushions. A white auction lot sticker numbered 1031 is attached to the armrest.
Condition report:
The sofa is in good used condition. There is evidence of minor crushing and tracking to the velvet pile, which is a natural characteristic of the fabric. No significant tears, stains, or structural damage are visible. The wooden legs show minimal signs of wear.
