Lot 271: A Collection of Decorative Ceramics, Kitchenware, and an Aneroid Barometer
This collection includes a Royal Doulton Old English Inns series earthenware plate, pattern D6072, featuring a central transfer-printed scene of The Leather Bottle inn. The plate has a scalloped rim and a wide border decorated with oak leaves and acorns. The reverse bears the green Royal Doulton lion and crown backstamp, the pattern name, and Australian registration marks. Also present is a Brentleigh Ware Cleland pattern bowl, hand-painted with red apples and green foliage on a green ground, with impressed factory marks to the base. A mottled blue glazed oval dish features a sgraffito-style depiction of a parrot and a crimped rim. The lot further comprises a pale green earthenware jug with relief-moulded floral decoration, a circular aneroid barometer set within a carved wooden frame, two stainless steel saucepans with lids, a metal muffin tin, a small cream-coloured jug with a red rose transfer, and a brown glazed earthenware bowl.
