Lot 450: A Collection of Vintage Architectural Hardware and Decorative Domestic Objects
This lot features an assortment of mid-20th-century architectural hardware and miscellaneous decorative items. The collection includes several vintage lever-style handles, likely intended for doors or windows. This includes four handles on long rectangular backplates, three with keyhole apertures, finished in a translucent amber-toned lacquer over metal and a dark mahogany brown glaze. Two further handles are set on smaller, rounded rectangular plates with a dark brown finish. The material construction appears to be a mix of coated metal and glazed ceramic or porcelain. The lot also contains a small cobalt blue glazed ceramic vase with a ringed or ribbed body and a flared rim. Accompanying these is a clear glass hexagonal trinket dish featuring a central frosted glass bird finial. The final item is a decorative carousel horse figure, possibly resin or ceramic, supported by a twisted brass-tone metal rod on a circular turned wooden base. No maker marks are visible on any of the items.
