Lot 943: Two Furniture Items Comprising a Small George III Style Mahogany Veneered Chest and an Oak Nest of Tables
This lot comprises two separate furniture items: a small three-drawer chest and a nest of three graduated tables. The chest is a George III style reproduction, constructed with mahogany veneers over a utility wood frame. It features a rectangular top with a moulded edge above three graduated drawers. The drawer fronts are cross-banded and fitted with circular brass-effect drop handles on embossed sunburst backplates. The unit is supported by four square, tapered legs with decorative fluted carving. The nest of three tables is made from oak with a visible grain and medullary rays. Each table has a rectangular top with a moulded edge, supported by turned legs joined by stretchers.
