Lot 966: An Art Nouveau Oak Wardrobe, circa 1910
An Art Nouveau oak wardrobe dating from the early 20th century. The piece is constructed from oak with a prominent grain and features a central door inset with a large, vertically oriented rectangular mirror plate. The door is flanked by two side panels, each decorated with recessed carvings of elongated, stylised organic motifs. The interior consists of a single large hanging compartment. The lower section contains a single full-width storage drawer. The wardrobe is fitted with patinated metal hardware, including a latch handle to the door and two drop-ring handles to the base drawer. It is supported on a plinth base with a shaped apron. An inventory label is currently attached to the mirror plate.
