Lot 528: An Assortment of Character Figures, Toby Jugs, and an Advertising Pitcher
An assortment of earthenware and stoneware ceramics. The collection includes a Royal Doulton character figure titled The Huntsman, depicted wearing a red hunting coat, yellow waistcoat, and black riding hat. The base of this figure bears the Royal Doulton lion and crown mark, the title The Huntsman, and the number 74. Also included are two character jugs: one featuring a gentleman in spectacles with a green hat and a handle modelled as a furled umbrella, and another depicting a woman in a grey patterned bonnet with a pink ribbon. The lot further contains a small character figure of a man in a tricorn hat and red coat, and a large yellow-glazed advertising pitcher for Plymouth Dry Gin. The pitcher features an embossed seal for Coates and Co (Plymouth) Ltd and is impressed with the number 3604 to the base. All pieces are finished with hand-painted overglaze decoration. One item retains a paper auction label for Liskeard Auction Rooms, Lot 528.
