Lot 1000: Don Breckon (British, 1935-2013), A Trio of Art Prints Including Two Railway Subjects and a Dunelm Canvas
This lot features three items of decorative wall art. The first two are framed offset lithograph reproductions after the British artist Don Breckon. Sunday Working depicts a Great Western Railway (GWR) Grange Class locomotive, No. 6861, passing trackside workers; the work is plate-signed and dated 1975 at the bottom right. Country Connection shows a GWR Small Prairie tank engine, No. 4557, at a rural station alongside a vintage red bus, with a plate signature at the bottom right. Both prints are professionally mounted and set behind glass in frames—one a dark wood-effect with a gilt slip and the other a brushed silver-tone. The third piece is a modern decorative printed canvas from Dunelm titled Inspire, decorated with stylized leaf motifs in a blue, green, and brown palette. It retains a price tag and an auction lot tag marked 1000.
