Lot 573: Two Folding Pocket Knives including a Joseph Rodgers British Army Jack Knife and a Victorinox Swiss Army Knife
This lot features two folding pocket knives. The first is a British Army pattern jack knife, identified through web consensus as the Far East Jungle pattern, manufactured by Joseph Rodgers of Sheffield, England. The all-metal stainless steel construction includes a sheepfoot profile main blade, a combination can opener and marlinspike, and a flathead screwdriver integrated into the front bolster. The tang is stamped with the Joseph Rodgers star and cross trademark, SHEFFIELD ENGLAND, and STAINLESS. The handle bolster is stamped with the maintenance instruction OIL THE JOINTS and includes a steel lanyard shackle. The second item is a Victorinox Swiss Army Knife, Classic SD model, with red Cellidor scales featuring the white cross and shield logo. Its tools include a small drop-point blade, spring-loaded scissors, and a nail file with a screwdriver tip. The tang is marked VICTORINOX SWITZERLAND STAINLESS ROSTFREI. This knife is accompanied by its original red Victorinox branded cardboard box and an auction tag from a previous sale.
