Lot 1009: Simon Combes, Protecting the Flanks, Framed Offset Lithographic Print
This is a framed offset lithographic reproduction print by the British wildlife artist Simon Combes (1940–2004), titled Protecting the Flanks. The artwork depicts a herd of African elephants traversing a dusty landscape with acacia trees in the background, led by three large elephants in the foreground. The artist’s name, SIMON COMBES, is printed in the lower left margin, and the title, PROTECTING THE FLANKS, is printed in the lower right margin.
