Lot 594: A Collection of Vintage Folding Pocket and Utility Knives including Rigger and Hawkbill Patterns
A collection of vintage folding pocket knives featuring various utility and souvenir designs. The assortment is led by a heavy-duty rigger or electrician’s knife, a pattern frequently produced by makers such as Camillus, featuring a sheepfoot blade, black jigged synthetic handles, and a large metal shackle. Also included is a horticultural pruning knife with a curved hawkbill blade and black jigged synthetic handles; a large utility folder with a straight-back blade and black jigged handles; a two-blade pocket knife with silver-toned bolsters; a red anodised aluminium souvenir penknife featuring engraved white floral motifs; and a slim black textured penknife. The knives feature carbon steel blades and synthetic or metal scales, representative of mid-20th-century utility cutlery from both British and American manufacturers.
