Lot 597: Germany 1,000 Mark Reichsbanknote, 21 April 1910
A German Empire 1,000 Mark Reichsbanknote dated 21 April 1910. The obverse features elaborate brown scrollwork and borders with the denomination Ein Tausend Mark in central gothic script. Two red Reichsbank seals are positioned at the bottom, and the serial number Nr 2762026 E is printed vertically in red on both sides. Facsimile signatures from the Reichsbankdirektorium are present along the bottom edge, including Havenstein and von Glasenapp. The off-white paper substrate contains embedded blue and red security fibres. The reverse depicts a large central imperial coat of arms flanked by two allegorical female figures representing navigation and agriculture.
