The volumes are presented as a partwork serial, each featuring colour illustrations on the front covers depicting various military personnel and uniforms from the 20th century. The publications are illustrated throughout with technical drawings and historical photographs. Each booklet bears the Osprey Publishing and delPrado publishers logos.
