Lot 1075: Jacobean Revival Carved Oak Breakfront Sideboard
A Jacobean Revival dark-stained hardwood sideboard of breakfront form, likely constructed from oak. The piece features a rectangular top with a moulded edge, projecting at the centre. The frontal arrangement consists of a central bank of three drawers; the uppermost drawer is decorated with three panels of relief-carved scrolling foliate motifs. This central section is flanked by single short drawers positioned above single-door cupboards. Each cupboard door contains a recessed panel featuring matching carved scrolling leaf and fleur-de-lis decoration. The sideboard is supported by a shaped plinth base with bracket-style feet to the front. It is fitted with ornate cast brass-tone swing handles on decorative foliate backplates and includes keyhole escutcheons on the cupboard doors. One handle is missing from the left-hand cupboard door.
