Lot 731: A Morris Furniture Company Teak Extending Dining Table and a Set of Matching Dining Chairs
A teak dining set by Morris Furniture Company comprising an oval extending dining table and a set of matching chairs. The table features an oval top constructed with teak veneers and a distinctive dark inlaid pinstripe border. The top is divided by a central seam to accommodate an internal extension leaf. It is supported by a central pedestal base with four curved, tapering legs in a quadruped arrangement. The accompanying set of dining chairs includes two variations: some with four horizontal slats to the backrests and others with fully upholstered backrests. All chairs are constructed from teak or teak-stained hardwood with padded seats upholstered in a dusty pink fabric.
