Lot 734: A 1950s Mid-Century Modern Laminate and Glass Bow-Fronted Display Cabinet
A mid-20th-century one-piece display cabinet of bow-fronted form, constructed with a mid-toned wood-grain laminate finish over a composite frame. The unit features curved glass side panels and a single central glazed door. The door is decorated with a gilt-effect scrolled border and a central transfer-printed motif depicting pink flowers and green foliage surrounding a circular design. The interior contains two glass shelves set against a light-toned wood-effect laminate back panel and base. The cabinet is supported by four tapered, splayed wooden legs, each terminating in a brass-toned metal ferrule and foot. The central door retains a circular, fluted metal pull handle. A white auction label is present on the front glazing.
