Lot 764: A Set of Four Mid-Century Modern Chrome-Plated and Black Vinyl Fan-Back Dining Chairs
A set of four retro-style side dining chairs dating from the mid-to-late 20th century. Each chair features a fan-back design composed of thin vertical metal rods welded to a curved top rail and the seat frame. The frames are constructed from tubular metal with a polished chrome-plated finish. The backrest uprights are capped with black plastic finials. The square-ish seats are padded and upholstered in a black textured vinyl faux leather. The construction is of welded metal. There are no visible maker marks or manufacturer labels; however, one chair retains a printed auction lot label from Liskeard Auction Rooms and a handwritten paper tag.
