Lot 806: A Traditional Stained Pine Single Headboard
A single headboard designed for a standard 3ft bed, constructed from pine. The front surface is finished with a dark wood stain, while the reverse remains in a natural, unfinished state, displaying the wood’s characteristic knots and grain pattern. The design features an arched top rail above a central inset rectangular panel with a moulded border. The top corners are decorated with small turned wooden finials. The headboard is equipped with two vertical wooden attachment struts, each featuring a long central slot to allow for adjustable height when fitted to a divan base or bed frame. A white adhesive label from Leicester Auction Rooms, identifying the piece as Lot 806, is attached to one of the struts.
