Lot 836: A Collection of English Ceramics and Assorted Glassware
A group of English earthenware plates and various items of glassware. The ceramics include a Royal Doulton circular display plate featuring a polychrome transfer-printed scene titled Queen Elizabeth at Old Moreton 1589, surrounded by a black and white architectural border. This plate bears the Royal Doulton Old Moreton backstamp to the base. There is a Royal Doulton octagonal plate in the Old Leeds Sprays pattern, D-3548, featuring a scalloped rim and printed marks to the underside including the registration number 597783. Also present is a cream-coloured octagonal earthenware plate marked for Adams of Tunstall. The glassware portion of the lot contains a modern clear glass infuser teapot with a circular black lid and internal glass filter, a large clear glass vessel with a broad base and flared rim, a clear glass ashtray, and a small footed glass bowl.
