Lot 28: A Jentique mid-century teak display cabinet and chest of drawers
A mid-century modern teak display cabinet and chest of drawers manufactured by the British firm Jentique. The unit features an asymmetric, stepped design. The taller left-hand section comprises an open shelf above a display cabinet enclosed by two smoked glass sliding doors. To the right, the lower section contains a bank of five drawers. The top two drawers have light teak fronts, while the three larger drawers below feature contrasting darker wood fronts. The drawers are fitted with square-profile metal pull handles. The construction consists of teak and teak veneers. A handwritten identification tag and a Liskeard Auction Rooms lot label are attached to the glass.
