Lot 18: An Assortment of Vintage and Modern Workshop Hand Tools including Dormer, Valentine, and Carver
An assortment of workshop hand tools, primarily focused on woodworking and metalworking. The collection features a metal tin for a Dormer High Speed Drill set (Set No. 12) from The Sheffield Twist Drill and Steel Co. Ltd. of Sheffield, England, and a heavy-duty orange-painted Carver G-style clamp. Also included is a small Valentine tenon saw with a wooden handle and a modern black plastic Stanley-brand mitre box. The lot contains multiple files and rasps in various profiles, including flat, half-round, and round, many of which are fitted with turned wooden handles. Additional tools include a pair of fencing pliers with red-dipped handles, a pair of side-cutting pliers, a cross-pein hammer, a woodworking chisel, a carving gouge, and a blue-painted T-handle socket wrench with a universal joint.
