Lot 141: A Trio of Reclaimed Weathered Cast Stone Architectural Chimney Pots or Pedestals
A trio of weathered architectural garden elements, likely used as planters or pedestals, constructed from molded buff-coloured reconstituted cast stone. The collection comprises two distinct designs. One piece features a square body decorated with recessed rectangular panels with shaped corners on each face. The other two pieces are of matching design, featuring tiered, beveled cap-like tops above plain square sections. All items are square in section with hollowed apertures at the top. The surfaces exhibit an aged patina with extensive lichen and moss growth, surface pitting, and general weathering consistent with prolonged outdoor exposure. No maker’s marks or stamps are visible on any of the pieces. One item retains a paper auction tag from Liskeard Auction Rooms.
