Lot 159: A Pair of Victorian Style Cast Iron Garden Table Ends
A pair of heavy cast iron table ends of trestle form, designed in the Victorian style. Each piece features an ornate, openwork design composed of symmetrical scrolls and foliate motifs. The top rails are fitted with a series of small, bolted wooden blocks originally intended for mounting a tabletop. One end retains its original diagonal metal support bar. The metal is finished with a weathered dark green paint. No manufacturer marks or stamps are visible on the castings. One end carries a white lot tag for Liskeard Auction Rooms and a handwritten inventory tag.
