Lot 202: A Knitmaster LC2 Lace Carriage and a Collection of Knitting Machine Accessories and Periodicals
A vintage Knitmaster model LC2 lace carriage, designed for use with compatible knitting machines. The unit features a cream-coloured plastic housing with a central handle, adjustment levers, and a stitch dial numbered 1 to 8. It bears the printed marks LC2 LACE CARRIAGE and Knitmaster. The lot includes two iridescent zinc-plated metal cast-on combs of varying lengths and a set of 24-stitch pattern punch cards numbered C1 through C56, contained within a plastic sleeve. Also present is a collection of late 1980s machine knitting literature and patterns, including copies of Machine Knitting News (April 1989), Profitable Machine Knitting (March/April 1989), Machine Knitting Chic (Sabrina Publication), Topchic pattern book, and Machine Knits by Valerie Carter. Portions of the original cardboard packaging marked KNITMASTER LC-2 are included.
