Lot 304: Two Vintage Metal Storage Boxes Including a US Military Ammunition Can and a Victay Series Document Box
This lot consists of two vintage metal storage containers of different origins. The first is a United States military ammunition can, identified as an M19A1 pattern, finished in olive drab paint with yellow stencilled markings. The side of the can is marked 200 CARTRIDGES 7.62 MM, M13 CARTONS, M62-4 M80 and carries the lot number LC-84K600L627 A131, indicating manufacture at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in 1984. The lid is stencilled FOR M. G. M60-M73. It is equipped with a hinged lid, rubber gasket, and a side-mounted clamping latch. The second item is a British-made metal document box from the Victay Series, finished in pale green enamel. The interior rim is embossed with the marks VICTAY SERIES and MADE IN ENGLAND. This box features a hinged lid with a wire-form carry handle and a front-mounted lock.
