Lot 428: A Royal Albert Lavender Rose Bone China Part Tea Service Comprising Seven Tea Cups, Six Saucers, Six Side Plates and a Cream Jug
A Royal Albert bone china part tea service in the Lavender Rose pattern, which was first introduced in 1961. The pieces are decorated with transfer-printed clusters of pink roses accented by green leaves and small lavender-coloured sprigs. The tea cups are of the classic Montrose shape, featuring fluted bodies and scrolled handles with gold-gilded detailing. The saucers and side plates are finished with matching fluted, scalloped edges and gilded rims. The collection consists of seven tea cups, six saucers, six side plates, and one cream jug. Each piece bears a printed backstamp to the base featuring a floral sprig above the text ROYAL ALBERT, BONE CHINA, ENGLAND. To the right, Lavender Rose is written in purple cursive script, with the copyright notice © ROYAL ALBERT LTD 1961 printed below.
