Lot 430: Machine-made Pure New Wool Rug in a Persian Style
A machine-made area rug featuring a traditional Persian design. The central field contains a multi-lobed floral medallion surrounded by scrolling vines, floral sprays, and palmettes on a cream ground. The primary border is terracotta in colour, decorated with repeating floral motifs and flanked by multiple guard borders. The palette includes shades of terracotta, beige, slate blue, and dark brown. The rug is constructed with a pure new wool pile and finished with a white cotton fringe. A partial paper label on the reverse displays the Woolmark symbol and the text Pure New Wool pile.
