Lot 460: A Collection of Vintage Paper Presses, a Brass Telescope, Weights, and Numbered Metal Tokens
This lot consists of an assortment of vintage desk accessories and scientific items. Included are three hand-operated cast iron paper presses or embossers, each featuring a lever-action mechanism. One press is finished in black lacquer, one in grey Hammerite-style paint, and the third exhibits an aged, oxidised surface. The lot includes a single-draw brass telescope with a decorative wood-veneer barrel and a sliding eyepiece protector. Also present is a small rectangular wooden box containing an assortment of brass weights, including a circular weight marked 10 G.M. Completing the lot is a collection of circular metal identification tokens or industrial tool checks, stamped with various numbers including 4, 5, 13, 18, 19, 25, and 81, housed in a distressed cardboard box.
