Lot 506: Royal British Legion Chairman Jewel of Office in Presentation Case
A Royal British Legion Chairman’s jewel of office, comprising a gilt-metal and blue enamel pendant suspended from a neck ribbon. The central circular badge is inscribed THE ROYAL BRITISH LEGION in blue enamel surrounding a silvered lion’s head, surmounted by a crown. This is enclosed within a gilt laurel wreath featuring a blue enamel scroll at the base inscribed CHAIRMAN. The pendant is attached via a gilt loop to a blue fabric neck ribbon with a central yellow stripe. The item is housed in its original blue textured-leatherette presentation case, lined with white satin and blue velvet. An auction lot label for Liskeard Auction Rooms identifying it as Lot 506 is present on the interior.
