Lot 627: Paul Barker and Pierre-Jean Lladó, Two Framed Works on Paper
A lot consisting of two framed works on paper. The first is a pen and watercolour architectural illustration depicting Harry’s Quayside, Boat Quay, Singapore. The composition shows traditional colourful shophouses in the foreground against a backdrop of modern skyscrapers. It is inscribed Harry’s Quayside, Boat Quay, Singapore ’99 and signed Paul Barker in the lower right. The piece is housed in a dark wooden frame with a double mount. The second work is a monochrome blue wash composition titled Le jardin de Sophie. It is signed Pierre Jean LLADÓ and inscribed as a proof in the lower right. The image is rendered in a loose, impressionistic style and is presented in a gilt and grey wooden frame with a multi-layered mount. One frame bears a Liskeard Auction Rooms lot tag for Lot 627.
