Lot 846: An Art Nouveau Mirrored Oak Wardrobe
This early 20th-century wardrobe is constructed from oak with a prominent natural grain. The design features a single central door fitted with a large rectangular mirror, flanked by recessed panels decorated with carved organic, stylised floral motifs in the Art Nouveau taste. The piece is fitted with decorative copper-toned metal hardware, including foliate-style backplates and ring pulls to the central door and the full-width base drawer. The interior is configured for hanging storage with a top-mounted rail. This wardrobe is modular in construction, typically dismantling into three sections: the cornice, the main hanging body, and the drawer base for ease of transport. It bears a lot label from Liskeard Auction Rooms (Lot 846).
