Lot 137: Two Garden Planters, Comprising a Reconstituted Stone Urn and a Plastic Pot
A collection of two garden planters of varying forms and materials. The primary piece is a weathered reconstituted stone or concrete urn of campana form, featuring a flared, scrolling rim and a moulded lobed or gadrooned lower body, raised on a circular pedestal base. The surface of the stone exhibits extensive natural weathering with moss and lichen growth, along with some visible surface crazing. The second item is a modern tapered cylindrical planter made of black plastic with a rolled rim. Both planters show signs of outdoor use and contain soil and remnants of dried vegetation. No maker’s marks are visible on either piece.
