Lot 522: A collection of cut lead crystal and Bohemian style art glass
A collection including a mid-20th-century Bohemian style glass vase, several pieces of cut lead crystal, and a turned wooden ring. The vase is of tapered, bulbous form, decorated with recessed circular thumbprint indentations finished in multi-coloured stains of amethyst, amber, and emerald green, creating a harlequin effect in the style of Sklo Union art glass. The cut crystal items include a heavy pitcher featuring an integral handle and deep diamond-cut geometric pattern, alongside circular bowls with scalloped rims and starburst-cut bases. One bowl displays a complex pattern of hobstars and fans, while another features a diamond-cut lattice pattern. The group is completed by a small, turned wooden ring, possibly a napkin ring or stand. No maker’s marks, signatures, or acid-etched stamps are visible on any of the items.
