Lot 639: A Mid-Century Modern Dining Suite Comprising a Dining Table and Four Matching Chairs
A mid-century modern dining suite consisting of a rectangular dining table and four matching chairs. The table is constructed with a veneered top featuring rounded corners, finished in a dark-toned wood such as mahogany or stained teak, supported by round tapered legs. The set of chairs includes two carver chairs with integrated wooden armrests and two standard dining chairs. Each chair features a curved slatted backrest with a shaped top rail and a seat upholstered in a textured, multi-tonal brown and beige patterned fabric. The suite exhibits the design characteristics typical of British furniture manufacturing from the 1960s and 1970s. Adhesive lot labels from Liskeard Auction Rooms are present on the chair frames, including lot number 639.
