Lot 779: A country style painted pine bedside cupboard
A late 20th-century country style bedside cupboard constructed from pine. The carcase is finished in a matt white paint, featuring a single drawer positioned above a single panelled cupboard door. The rectangular pine top has an intentionally distressed and weathered finish, revealing the natural grain and remnants of previous green paint. Both the drawer and cupboard door are fitted with matching white painted wooden turn knobs. The drawer is constructed with pine secondary wood and features machine-cut dovetail joints. The interior of the drawer is lined with a printed paper depicting a botanical landscape. The piece is supported by a plinth base with a shaped and scalloped front apron. The cupboard retains a handwritten paper tag marked 2865 RESERVE £6 PAINTED BEDSIDE CUPBOARD and a printed sticker for Liskeard Auction Rooms Lot 779.
