Lot 118: A Collection of Vintage Manual Tyre, Agricultural and Workshop Tools
This collection consists of an assortment of vintage tools primarily used for industrial, agricultural, and repair work, constructed from cast iron, wrought iron, and steel. The lot includes a large manual tyre bead breaker or spreader tool, which features two long iron lever handles and a large curved jaw designed to engage with a wheel rim. The curved jaw is embossed with the word PATENT. Also included is a mechanical fence wire tensioner or strainer, consisting of a central steel bar with a red painted finish, a screw-thread mechanism operated by a manual crank with a black plastic handle, and attached heavy-duty steel chains with hooks. The collection is completed by a cast iron cobbler shoe last for footwear repair, a small iron axe head, and two heavy iron wedges, one of which features a notched end.
