Lot 151: A Contemporary Metal and Synthetic Rattan Hanging Egg Chair with Stand
A contemporary hanging egg chair, also known as a pod or swing chair, designed for outdoor or conservatory use. The basket-style seat is constructed with dark brown synthetic resin strips in an open-weave pattern over a metal sub-frame. The chair is suspended from a freestanding metal stand comprising a curved tubular upright and a circular base. The hanging mechanism consists of a heavy-duty metal spring and chain links connected to a threaded bolt assembly at the top of the stand. No manufacturer marks are visible on the item. A small white adhesive lot tag numbered 151 is present on the upper rim of the chair.
