Lot 243: A white-painted cast metal two-tier plant stand in the Victorian style
A two-tier plant stand of square form, constructed from white-painted cast metal, likely cast iron or aluminium. The upper tier and smaller lower tier both feature a pierced openwork design depicting a central hummingbird motif amongst irises and stylised foliage. The stand is supported by four cabriole legs featuring foliate cast detailing at the shoulders and terminating in scroll feet. The components are assembled with bolts. No manufacturer’s marks or stamps are visible on the object. The item is a reproduction of Victorian garden furniture, likely produced in the late 20th century. It currently carries an auction tag from Liskeard Auction Rooms for Lot 243.
