Lot 347: An Assortment of Decorative Ceramics and Kitchenware including Ye Olde Inne Pattern Wares
A collection of assorted kitchenware, decorative ceramics, and household items. The grouping includes various ceramic pieces such as a stack of white glazed ramekins, several glazed terracotta shallow dishes, a white square divided serving dish, and a brown glazed ceramic hen-on-nest tureen. Decorative figurines feature a ceramic pig chef, a hen with chicks, and a budgerigar. Notable among the items are several small wooden bowls and ceramic pieces shaped like Tudor-style buildings; one house-shaped piece bears a base mark with the printed characters YE OLDE INNE, MADE IN ENGLAND, HAND PAINTED, and BRITISH. Also present is a small cylindrical ceramic jar featuring a hand-painted rural scene with rabbits and livestock, a metal meat tenderiser mallet, a small crocheted sheep, and various other kitchen utensils and containers. The ceramic building pieces are attributed to the Ye Olde Inne pattern by Royal Winton/Grimwades based on the printed mark and visual characteristics.
