Lot 398: A Collection of Marigold Carnival Glass including a Tall Swung Vase and Patterned Bowls
An assortment of early 20th-century marigold carnival glass items, featuring a characteristic iridescent metallic salt coating over an amber-toned pressed glass base. This collection includes various forms and patterns associated with prominent manufacturers such as the Fenton Art Glass Company and Imperial Glass Company. The group features a tall swung vase with a slender ribbed body and a widely flared, ruffled rim. Also included are multiple bowls in various shapes including circular, triangular, and ruffled examples. Notable patterns include a circular bowl with deep vertical exterior ribbing and a pressed hobstar base, and a bowl with a dense geometric diamond point texture. The iridescence displays the typical orange-gold lustre characteristic of marigold carnival glass. No maker’s marks are visible on the items.
Tallest vase approximately 35 cm in height.
