Lot 444: A Group of Silver-Plated Tableware and Glass Serving Pieces
A collection of silver-plated and glass tableware consisting of several items. The group includes a large circular partitioned cut-glass hors d’oeuvres or preserve dish set within a silver-plated frame featuring a reticulated gallery, two handles, and four decorative feet. This piece contains a central silver-plated lidded compartment and a small spreader with a cream-coloured handle. Also included is a large oval basket with ornate pierced floral and geometric patterns, and a smaller oval dish with similar reticulated detailing. The assortment is completed by a large flat-domed circular lid with a cast decorative finial, a traditional-style gravy boat with a scrolled handle and stepped oval foot, and a small circular lidded condiment pot with a ball finial. No hallmarks or maker’s marks are clearly visible or legible on any of the pieces; the items are described as silver-plated based on visual characteristics and surface oxidation.
