Lot 550: An Assortment of Mid-Century Modern Italian Art Glass Vessels, attributed to Empoli
An assortment of mid-century modern hand-blown glass vessels, showcasing the vibrant colours and varied forms associated with the Empoli region of Italy. The collection includes two large brandy balloon vases, one in deep cobalt blue and the other in teal, both resting on clear glass circular feet. Also present is an opaque yellow columnar vase and an opaque orange tiered vase, both similarly set on clear bases. A sculptural amethyst-coloured vase features an elongated bowl supported by a twisted lattice-work stem. The group is completed by an amber glass pitcher with an applied textured clear handle, a tapered green glass vase with a bulbous lower section, and a small orange cased glass coupe.
