Lot 710: 19th Century English Oak Desk Inkstand with Drawer
A Victorian period wooden desk inkstand, likely constructed from oak with a dark-stained finish. The rectangular stand features rounded corners and a moulded edge. A centrally-placed, carved wooden D-shaped carrying handle is positioned on the top surface. The top includes two square recessed compartments designed to hold glass inkwells, and two longitudinal concave troughs for resting pens. The front of the stand contains a single, full-width drawer equipped with a small turned wooden pull knob. The entire unit is supported by four turned wooden bun feet. The interior of the drawer is constructed from matching wood. A white paper auction tag from Liskeard Auction Rooms is attached to the top surface. No manufacturer marks or stamps are visible.
